Vernon Middle School students and staff enjoyed a building-wide PBIS Celebration on the last day of school before winter break. This special day was organized by the Vernon PBIS committee, and celebrated the great things happening at VMS during the first half of the school year. The primary goal of the day was to allow staff and students a chance to have fun and support each other while participating in a variety of interactive activities.
Students took part in "staff-versus-students" games of dodgeball and bags, worked on craft projects, and enjoyed a movie. This special day provided a fun way to send students off on their winter break. PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) is a tiered framework that supports students' behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. This day of celebration supported all students in our building. Thank you to the PBIS Committee for their work organizing this fun and special day!
