The VMS Related Arts staff held their first-ever Related Arts Awards Assembly to recognize outstanding students in the first quarter of the school year. Students met in the Vernon gymnasium for these assemblies, which were held during each grade level's regular PE time. The purpose of this gathering was to celebrate students who followed the Marion Way and served as great examples for their classmates.
After handing out certificates for Physical Education, Teen Living, Computer Science, Art and General Music, students enjoyed playing games and having fun together as a grade level. This first-ever assembly allowed related arts teachers to distribute awards during a time their schedules allowed them all to be present to celebrate their outstanding students. This was a fun experience for students and staff alike!
