Please welcome our new 7th grade social studies teacher, Leslie Jones. She is from Springville, IA. She previously taught 7th and 8th grade social studies in the Cedar Rapids school district. She graduated from Coe College with a degree in education and sociology. She decided to work with this age group because students keep her young and up with the times. This age group has lots of feelings and no filters so it's easy to know where you stand.
Her family loves to visit parks, pools and playgrounds. She loves to read and discover new music. She is passionate about equal rights and justice.
Fun Fact: My go-to show to watch is Law and Order... especially the Jerry Orbach years. I also love Wheel of Fortune and play Wordle daily... looking for good starter words.
