MHSAP families recently got to go on a tour of the hangar and see the aircraft that is at Kirkwood’s recently opened Aviation Maintenance Technology program. Students were allowed to go inside the Cessna Citation and sit in the cockpit, saw how big jet engines are, what an experimental plane looks like, and even a private jet! We saw where the classroom and lab spaces are and the students all got an opportunity to practice some hands on activities like riveting and bending fluid lines. To top it all off we just happened to be there when 2 fighter jets landed and were fueling up!
